Culinary Lavender Buds



These dried lavender buds are big and boldly blue, with a sweet, mildly-scented fragrance - how culinary buds should be.  Add them (sparingly at first, as you can always add more) to your baking and seasonings for a bit of color and a lightly sweet, floral flavor.  Get in touch with the creative cook within you and add some pizzazz to your tried and true recipes - you'll be intrigued with the results!  These buds, from lavender plants which were grown for culinary purposes (in contrast to lavender plants grown for their essential oil and aromatic qualities), were grown, harvested and dried at our farm on Washington Island.  We have  two jar  sizes: small (.5 oz.) and large (1.3 oz.)
